1. Coding

  • Numbering: Each steel panel (wall, floor, truss) is labeled according to its code in the TEOCAD project.

  1. Loading Techniques and Volume Optimization

  • Vertical and Horizontal Loading: Panels are generally stacked vertically. This method prevents deformation of the panels and, if necessary, facilitates unloading with a JCB or forklift.

  • Supplementary Materials: Alongside the steel frame, exterior cladding panels, mineral wool, OSB, and rolled standing seam roof materials are arranged based on volumetric calculations. Heavy materials are placed at the bottom, while lighter and bulky materials are stacked on top.

  1. Domestic Shipment (Standard Truck)

  • Open Truck: Generally preferred for domestic shipments.

  • Tarp Protection: After loading, materials are covered with high-strength tarpaulins to protect them from weather conditions.

  1. International Shipment (Closed Truck or Container)
For international shipments, more secure methods are used to comply with safety and customs regulations:

  • Closed Truck (Tented): Preferred for regions accessible by road within Europe. Materials are fully protected from external elements and road dust.

  • Container (Sea Freight): 20’ or 40’ High Cube (HC) containers are used.

    • Loading Strategy: Containers are loaded using a “gapless stacking” principle. Wedges and fixings are applied to prevent materials from shifting during the sea voyage.

    • Customs Facilitation: A detailed packing list is prepared for each container, specifying which package belongs to which panel group, speeding up customs clearance and on-site unloading.
